The barn.

What began as an idea between four siblings became reality over the course of a year. From cleaning out the existing barn, taking down part of the old structure to make room for the new, and finally putting it all together again, it was a labor of love for the whole family. Each person brought their ideas and skills together to create what exists today.

Part old.

Originally built in 1885, the barn features original post-and-beam structure. When the siblings were growing up, this area was used as a hay loft.

Part new.

In the course of a week, a local Amish group put up the structure of the new portion of the barn. Then the siblings took over to install the electric, side the walls, and finish the interior. Lots of love and laughter went into the days, nights, and weekends spent putting it all together.

Part borrowed.

Incredible views of the Catskills grace the south side of the barn. Handcrafted wooden tables, which can be borrowed for your own ceremony, work perfectly in the space.

Part blue.

(Just the doors are blue—nothing else is blue about Bluebird.) We’re so proud of the barn and what we’ve created. And we can’t wait to share it with you.

The story doesn’t end there.

We invite you to become part of Bluebird Farm’s history.
